The legend of the temple is associated with the story of Ravana, who is said to have meditated here to please Lord Shiva. It is also believed that this is the place where the divine nectar (Amrit) emerged during the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan), and Dhanvantari, the physician of the gods, appeared with it. This connection reinforces the temple's reputation as a place of healing. A visit to Parli Vaijnath offers a deeply spiritual and serene experience, allowing devotees to connect with the divine and seek blessings for health and well-being.
